Welcome to the Nanango Pet Motel! We’re a small, family-owned and family operated business driven by our deep love for animals.
When you leave your pet with us, you can trust they’ll be cared for as if they were our own— with warmth, attention, and affection.

At our pet motel, we treat your pets like they're part of our family. We pride ourselves on offering exceptional, heartfelt care - we don't just watch your pets, we love them.

During their stay with us, all dogs enjoy daily cuddles and playtime, ensuring they get plenty of exercise and fresh air. In addition, we provide daily raw treats (e.g. mince, chicken wings, Prime100 SPD roll) and feed our cats and dogs Taste of the Wild, a premium grain-free dry food.  Before collection, each dog receives a complimentary hydro-bath with a tick and flea rinse, so they go home feeling fresh and clean.

Owners can request that their pets share a kennel or stay side-by-side, but rest assured, only pets from the same family will share a space.

Your pet’s happiness and comfort are our top priority.

What’s more, we’re open 7 days a week, with convenient hours from 8am to 10am and 3pm to 5pm (closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day).

We warmly welcome all new and existing pet owners to visit our kennels and see where you furry / feathered baby will be staying. We understand how important it is to feel confident and comfortable about where your pets will be cared for. 

Inspections are always welcome - just contact us and we will gladly book in a time to show you through!

Dog Boarding

We provide safe and comfortable dog boarding with personalized care. Your fur baby will enjoy a fun, stress-free environment while you're away, with plenty of attention, exercise and rest.

$23 per day - small
$24 per day - medium
$25 per day - large
$26 per day - giant
Cat Boarding

We offer cozy and secure cat boarding with a focus on comfort and care. Your feline friend will enjoy a peaceful environment, personalized attention, and plenty of time to relax.

Bird / Reptile Boarding

We provide specialized care for birds and reptiles in a safe and climate-controlled environment. Your pets will receive dedicated attention, ensuring their unique needs are met during their stay.

Health and Vaccination Requirements

At Nanango Pet Motel, we prioritize the health and safety of all pets in our care. To ensure a healthy environment, we kindly ask all pet owners to consult with their veterinarian to understand the specific vaccination and health requirements their pet needs before boarding with us.

No booking is valid without proof of vaccination for all pets. 

Your vet can provide advice on the vaccinations, parasite treatments, and any other necessary precautions your pet should have, tailored to their individual needs.

Please provide us with up-to-date vaccination records or a health certificate from your vet upon check-in to ensure we can offer the safest experience possible for your pet and others.

A current vaccination certificate for your pet must be provided to confirm the booking.

Nanango Pet Motel reserves the right to cancel the booking if the Pet Owner fails to provide the Pet’s current vaccination certificate.

Pet food

We feed our furry guests (both feline and canine) 'Taste of the Wild', a lean, easily digestible, protein packed feed that also contains amino and fatty acids. This helps to enhance a pet’s immune system and muscle strength, as well as healthy skin and a shiny coat.

This grain free formula helps eliminate the risk of bad reactions to food and promotes better digestion.  We believe in it so much, we’ve started using it for our own pets. We do sell 5kg, 12kg, and 18kg bags here at the motel, and customers are welcome to purchase these at a price lower than the recommended retail price.

About us

We’re Debbie and Trevor Stephens, proud owners of the Nanango Pet Motel. We purchased the pet motel from our new friends Janice and Trevor Garwood just over 2 years ago. With years of experience caring for our own horses, dogs, cats, cattle, chickens and lizards, we truly understand how special every animal is. To us, they're not just pets - they're family. That’s why when your beloved animal stays with us, we treat them with the same love and care as we do our own.

Recently, our son Trevor Jr and daughter-in-law Taila relocated to Nanango to join us, and you may see them around the kennel, helping out and getting to know our wonderful customers. We all truly enjoy meeting all of you and your beloved fur babies, and we look forward to providing the best care during their stay with us. Take care.
